cards that I created for my mother-in-law...for her BIRTHDAY!!!

Here are some cards that I created for my MIL...Her bday was a few days ago...
this card was from me....I have an action wobble behind the bee...

this one was from my oldest...the puppy is gold in color...

this one was from my husband...
There is a theme in these cards...the color blue.  There is one more picture of a card that I need to get and post and it is the card that my youngest made for her grammie...It has a blue poodle with polka dots and she insisted on putting that inside one of the cards that she made all by herself at school...

My Pink Stamper feathered friend challenge...

This is what I came up with for Robyns challenge...
I did question myself on whether or not these cute creatures had feathers...plus I noticed that nobody had done one of these feathered friends yet...
Yes, penguins do have feathers. They are shiny and uniformly overlap to form a dense layer of protection. A Penguin's feathers are highly specialized, They are short, broad, and spaced very closely. These attributes help to keep water away from their skin. Penguin feathers also have small tufts of down on the shafts that increase the insulative properties of the feathers.
  • card is 6 1/2 x 5
  • cut black card stock at 1/4" less
  • the white card stock is opalescent but it is hard to see...it was cut to fit the Cuttlebug folder...
  • the penguin was cut at 3"
  • I added a bow with some scrap ribbon that I had
  • the "just chillin" was cute at about 1 1/2" (I think) and I adhered it to a piece of something that I cut out a while ago that was in my scrap pile
  • the blue sparkle ribbon was purchased at Michaels during Valentine's Day
I sure hope y'all like this one...I had fun making it

quick Tinker Bell card...

I made this card for a neighbor as a thank you because she always lets my girls go and play at her house...

Field Trip scrapbook page

I had so much fun doing this page...My daughters Kindergarten teacher sent home a picture of her from a field trip to the pumpkin patch that I was not able to go on and I created this scrapbook page...
I had so much fun on this page...

I used the Stretch Your Imagination cart for the school bus...
I forgot what I cut it at...
I used pieces of cotton ball with Smooch Spritz on them to make them sort of grey looking
I used some brads for the rims...

I love these pumpkins...The stretched one was a challenge to make with the dark orange overlay.
I used hot fix crystals for the eyes (black & orange)
I drew the mouth on the stretched out pumpkins

Tinker Bell scrapbook page...

This is a Tinker Bell scrapbook page that I created as a surprise for a friend whose daughter had a Tinker Bell themed party a while back.
I cut the Tinker Bell at 8"...it was a pain in the rear do get the eyes and lips cut.  I tried I think at least 6 times...
If anyone has any times on the settings I should use for really small items PLEASE let me know...

The word "Beautiful" was also cut from the Tinker Bell cartridge.
I used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom of the black card stock
I used Vanilla Ice Smooch Spritz on the black card stock and "Beautiful"
the printed paper is from an American Girl stack
the the Glitter paper is from a DCWV 8x8 Gitter stack

Spring card...

I am not sure if I like this card or not...I have a friend who purchased a Cricut and 15 cartridges and I borrowed one of her cartridges that I have wanted and made this card....
This was made with Stretch Your Imagination and I think I cut it at 5 1/4.  I used a floral stamp with a lighter pink and then used a red with another floral stamp on top of that.  I added a little bit of stickles and used a Q-tip and stamp pads on the flowers on the frame...I also added a piece of white paper on the inside of the card for a backing to the word "Spring"...
